You’re in the steamy jungles of the Amazon, listening to the sounds of insects and birds around you. The hot sun beats down on you after being filtered through the forest canopy above. You’ve been here for days, doing what you have to do to stay alive. You know about the basic needs that must be fulfilled to stay alive - food, water, and shelter. But, have you ever thought about what your body must actually do to stay alive? Our website, Survivor Body Systems, is designed to be an interactive way of figuring out the role that your body plays in keeping you alive. We’ll show you what your digestive, skeletal, muscular, nervous, circulatory, and respiratory systems do and how they work together as a team. Whether you’re in the jungles of the Amazon or just in your house doing your homework, your body is always working, going through processes and procedures that allow you to do the one thing we as humans all strive to do: survive! So, join us as we walk you through the complex labyrinth that is the human body. |
